My name is Kimberly. Nothing special there; I think a good 30% of girls born in the sixties and seventies were named Kimberly (obviously some random percentage I made up). There are always a few other Kimberly’s around where ever I go. Most go by Kim which is why I have always gone by Kimberly. Once upon a time I would dogmatically correct people when they called me Kim, but now I just answer to anything from Kimbo to Kimly. These days I mostly answer to mama. That makes me a wife and mother. Again nothing special, there are a lot of us out there. I am southern – born and raised and I love simple things. I am sure I am not alone in this aspect.
Presently I am as stay-at-home mom who spends her days juggling all the hats one must wear to make a home run smoothly (I fail at this daily). Once again there are a good many of us, so again – nothing special. Except here’s the thing; we are all special. While there may be another southern gal who calls herself Kimberly, someone who is my age, who is a wife, mother, and stay- at- home mom, no one can be me.
This blog is based on my belief that everyone is special – even unique. I believe we need to embrace those things that make so. In order to do this we must be willing to get REAL. If you truly want to know my heart you must read my first post.
It is my hope that in the menagerie of items that will be discussed here you may find something that draws you closer to Christ. I pray you find something that makes your day a bit brighter, a nugget of wisdom that makes your life easier, even something that will perhaps change your life. This blog is just one gals journey toward becoming REAL with God, others and life itself…. Ready? Let’s get real together.
